Abra Weavers drawn into a brutal EASL 2026-27 group with Ryukyu Golden Kings and Taoyuan Pauian Pilots

The 2026-27 East Asia Super League draw has placed Abra Weavers in Group C with Ryukyu Golden Kings, Taoyuan Pauian Pilots and Hong Kong Eastern. The reigning MPBL champions will open their campaign at SM Seaside Cebu Arena against Hong Kong Eastern in what is likely their most winnable game. Ryukyu and Taoyuan were both semifinalists last season, and Taoyuan finished as runners-up for the second straight year. Given Abra's MPBL status and the previous struggles of Philippine clubs such as Meralco Bolts in this same pool, the group is considered tough.
